TATA group is once again in news now, this time for budget homes. TATA Housing has announced launching of Economy/Budget homes which would priced between Rs.4 Lacs to 6.5 Lacs and will be handover in 2 years. This mega township project name ‘Shubh Griha; will commence at Boisar near Mumbai and aims at providing around 15000 such flats/apartments. The townships boasts of Shops,schools, hospitals etc. within itself and would be a self contained facility and would be executed in around 63.5 acres. The flats/apartments would be sized at around 283 sq. ft for a 1 BHK and 465 sq. ft for a 2 BHK in Ground + 2 floor format.

The scheme is marketed in a format similar to that of Nano car. One has to buy a form for Rs.200 from select State Bank of India outlets.The company also plans to launch similar schemes at Bengaluru and Delhi in near future.
